Let's All Go to the Movies!!

Tuesday's belong to Dan and I.  It's his day off and of course being that I am not working at the moment, it's mine too.  Even if we're a bit strapped for cash we try and think of something fun to do.  Today we went to the movies which is a bit more expensive that I would wish, but we made an exception because we've been waiting for ages to see- dum da da dum- The Avengers. 

We've watched almost all of the comic book movies at the theater and we weren't going to miss this one, because this is where it all comes together.  We even opted to see it on the Imax screen in 3D.  It was amazing I really can't say enough good things about this movie. 

It has The Hulk, played by Mark Ruffalo who I think has made the best Hulk... ever.  Chris Evans who is of course Captain America, picking up from the Captain America movie and still does a great job.  He seems kind of like the leader in some of the battle scenes.  Robert Downey Jr. still kills it as Iron Man, I actually clapped my hands when he arrived on scene with ACDC blasting behind him!  Black Widow played by Scarlett Johansson, is one lady you don't want to mess with- she a trained spy with superb hand to hand combat skills.  Chris Hemsworth is back as Thor, looking at him, yeah, he kind of looks like he would be the God of Thunder.  (I really didn't think I would like the Thor movie, because it seemed like it would be a little to Sci-Fi for my taste, but, it was still a really good movie- hands down kicked Green Lantern's ass!!)  Hawk Eye finally gets some major screen time, he is played by Jeremy Renner and it's about time that Hawk Eye made his appearance!  I know he was in Thor but you didn't see much about him so it was kinda like he wasn't.

Even if your not a comic book nerd, do yourself a favor and go watch this movie.  Even my mom went and watched and loved it.  Although she's seen a few of the comic book movies it's not really something that is a major deal to her.  So if she says it's good- it's good!  As for Dan and me, we are nerds so of course we loved loved LOVED the movie- even though there were a couple of movie talkers that made MY Hulk side want to come out and play- more on my movie time etiquette later- even after we left and went to grab something to eat we were reciting lines from the movie!!
